GuestI’m sorry this has nothing to do with Elfman, and it’s majorly off topic, but I just wanted to know what you all think of my newest composition. It’s got some Elfman influenced parts in it, but I tried to keep to my own “style” when composing this. I don’t think that worked out too great. What do you think?

GuestTrue, it did have an Elfman influence to it, but it had its own distinctness to it. It was really a very nice piece, good work. Was it you who presented original works on this website before, or was it someone else? Whoever it wa I enjoyed those too. Nothing better than original pieces from talented composers.

GuestThanks, Spider-Fan! I’ve presented some stuff here before, but I think some others have also. I’m not sure. I know there are other composers here.

GuestI liked it, too. Thinking very filmically, myself, I kinda imagined a scene playing out to it. I like it when music lets me do that. Nice work, Dantz. v. cool! (sorry – I don’t wanna drag this too far into a tecchy thread, but I’d just like to know, which samples and sequencer(s) are you using? I’m currently looking at buying a G5, and kitting it out with some studio-ware etc. Wanna find out what’s good an’ all.)
Cool piece, Dantz – loved it!

GuestWell, I muss say I have been singing these five notes all day : d / e-moll / f / f / g !!!
Your work is fantastic. I loved it. Of course, there’s some elfman inspiration, but I hear something more, which is your own style as well.
It’s really great. I’m a composer myself, and I truely love to hear the work of other young people, specially when they’re so talented !
Let us know, if some other tracks are available !!!! I’m your first fan.Eric

GuestThanks, guys!!
The J: I use a PC with “Sonar” 3.0 for my sequencer. If you’re looking into getting a MAC you won’t be able to use Sonar, but you can use the sequencer “Logic”. I’ve read it’s very nice, and it comes with it’s own sampler, so you don’t have to buy one. I don’t know how well it imports gigasamples or any other kind of sample, though. You might want to look into getting a PC instead because you can get so much more for so much less. There are more options for you, also, in the long run if you get a PC.
Eric: Thanks for your comments! I’ve got some other stuff here at my small webpage: http://www.nigel.has.it if you want to check it out.
