I not long ago looked on the internet for Oingo Boingo’s concert Farewell, I noticed on the cover there is a parental advisory sticker. I’m almost 14 now but my dad is pretty strict with those type of things, my mom really does not mind because she knows how much I love Danny. But I’d just like to know, whats so bad on the DVD? thanx for helping me out!
I think the lyrics are the reason of the advisory…
whats wrong with the lyrics? I have a few of Boingo’s cds, they all seem fine to me. why? is it because of the songs like “wild sex” or “only a lad”?
might have to do with the one line in “helpless” — the one about being, um, poorly treated by a legion of ex-cons…

Well i just watched the DvD and Danny says “f–k” ALOT and some of the guys curse a lot and you see roadie butt. The lyrics for helpless are out there like Chris said and so are some of the others.
There’s also a very short clip from Forbidden Zone, which immediately constitutes an R rating.
There is a shot of tits and a butt and **** is heard a lot through out the DVD! Theres your reason!
I think “Piggies” might be another song that contributed to an advisory. But still, I let my kids watch it. My son has been watching it since he was about 2. However, I won’t let him have a copy to share with his friends.
But yeah, I’m in agreement, except for the FZ clip, it’s pretty much just language that would have won it any kind of advisory.
Is oingo boingo getting getting back together?
