Background info: Once a year for a week or so each summer, my ex-
husband takes the kids to his parents home for a visit. This leaves
me with some time do do things that I otherwise don’t get a chance
to do. Getting to LA is one of those things I have been trying to
do for years.I wasn’t going to try this summer (being unpaid until fall term
starts and all) BUT then Erin got my wheels turning again by posting
info about a DMP show taking place on one of my days of freedom.
Now my quest is renewed.I’ve got enough money to get there, no problem. Money gets tight
after that. Two things I really need help with are lodging and
ground transportation. Ultimately, anyone who is willing to let me
crash on their living room floor. There are a few of you who have
extended this offer in the past. If that offer is still open,
please let me know.Also, if anyone is coming to the show from out of town and needs to
get a room, perhaps we could split a double.Every little bit helps… If I reduce lodging costs, I can maybe
afford a car or a cab… If there’s anyone who can get me to and
from the airport and maybe to the show, then I think I can swing a
night or two hotel cost.I know it’s a long shot, but there have been a lot of us talking
about “oh if we could all just get together” for years and these
shows seem to motivate people to do it, so I thought I’d take the
chance. There are many of you that I’ve been wanting to meet for a
long time. I hope this works out.Also, I hope there are some people who could maybe do something the
day after the show. I’m certainly not wanting to fly all the way to

Ah, DMP is that band who continuously sends me e-mails about there show, even though I’ve told them I’d never be able to go?

Yeah, I didn’t think I’d ever see them either, but thought I needed to try this go-round.
I should note I told them I’d never be going and that they shouldn’t include me on their mailing list… But…!
