GuestHi James!
Glad you came across our little Danny Elfman messageboard!
To answer your rather interesting question:
Yeah, “Edward Scissorhands” and “Simple Plan” are my favorites, too! But don’t you think these two scores are, well, kind of… very, very different? Hm…
Not too crazy about “Hulk”, too – just a “flat, uninspired mishmash of woodwinds, ethnic instruments and female vocals”, as you so eloquently put in your post.Take care.

GuestI agree with James’s original thought though. By having the children’s choir sing a tiny bit sharp, it does add a bit of darkness to the passage. I don’t agree with your next paragraph when you stated that this proves that Danny can’t afford a quality childrens choir. I believe it was done intentionally.
Yes. That’s right.

GuestWhat just happened here?
James’ question is on speaker positioning, yet people are answering stuff about Scissorhands and Simple Plan.
i’m confused.

Guestlol – I think people are trying to say something here, D-Bo… ie… “if you’re posting on a Danny Elfman message board, why not talk about Danny Elfman, and not your SPEAKER POSITIONING!!!”. And to be honest, I agree with them! hehe

(No hard feelings, James – but I’m sure there’s a ton of other, more tech-oriented forums you could post this on!)April 21, 2004 at 11:01 pm #49651Anonymous
GuestJames – you’re lucky I don’t do drugs. If I were doing something rather trippy, though, and looked at your diagram, I suspect I’d find it inspiring. However, since I don’t, I’m not quite sure why anyone but you should care about your speakers…sorry, man. Now, bring your speakers over my house and we’ll talk, savvy?

GuestI remember a discussion a while back concerning speakers on this board. Maybe James awoke from a coma and decided to continue that discussion. Who knows? James is the only one apparently.
So, what is it James?Nat

GuestOh my god. I’m having this very odd feeling of Message Board deja-vu. Have you written this before, Nin Cherry?
