    This is hugely shocking news. I’ve just returned from touring France with my orchestra, so I’m a little late on this one. My worries were originally fuelled when Mr. Goldsmith couldn’t make it to his 75th birthday concert here in London… and it’s not all that long since Michael Kamen also passed away.

    I truly agree that Jerry Goldsmith is one of the all-time great masters of film music. If there is an afterlife, may he live like a king.

    My deepest respects to a God of the film music world.
