    I remeber reading some time ago about Burton and Elfman wanting to do a Batman musical. Does anyone know if there’s any truth to this at all? If it is in fact true I’m sure they would do a great job. Imagine Elfman as the Joker in a musical? That’d be badass.

    Jim Steinman is doing the BATMAN musical. Or at least he was when the project was being developed.

    If they could pull off an EDWARD SCISSORHANDS ballett (without the direct involvement of either Burton or Elfman), I’m sure they could pull off a BATMAN musical as well.

    They tried to get Elfman for the EDWARD ballet, but he was unavailable, sadly.

    Well, sorry, but this idea sounds anything but cool to me.

    Batman is a serious character, and I can’t see a musical with him being anything other than a big pile of cheese. You know, like those Schumacher films.
