Hi, I was wondering if any of you know the name of the piece at the beginning of the movie. Its when the flutist (musician) messes up and Hannibal Lecter gets mad. thx
It’s from Mendelsshon’s A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM. A great piece from one of the composer’s finest works.
Tee-hee-hee-hee! He ate the flutiest! (Irrelevant, but I still can’t get over it–if you’re gonna eat someone, eat the guy who botches the music)!
Hahah. Yeah, that part cracked me up. It’s too bad the rumor that Danny would be the flutist was false.
I’m still voting for Danny playing Willy Wonka in the “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” remake! I really think that Danny would present a much scarier Wonka than Gene Wilder…then again, I think anybody would have a difficult time matching up to Wilder’s performance.

As cool as that would be, I doubt it will happen. Besides his loyal followers, Elfman isn’t much of a box-office draw, at least not as an actor.
I actually think Johnny Depp could pull it off, which is a possibility. Does anyone know about any rumors of who might be playing the lead?
Elfman had a fine performance as a fiddler in The Gift, I thought. ; )
Depp as Wonka! I hadn’t even considered that… but thinking about it, I could really see it. Think about his physical comic ability in Benny & Joon…..
…They say that Wonka’s gonna be… ugh… Jim Carrey.

I could see willy wonka being played by thom yorke of radiohead. (sorry, I’m just listening to the new album right now, and it’s awesome)
