GuestI recently bought a DVD drive but then I don’t know how to rip an isolated track… I’ve got Mars Attacks!, The Matrix, and Last of the Mohicans DVD and I really want to make CDs from the isolated scores. What program should I use and how? Please help me, thanks in advance.

GuestHi reza!
Glad you came across our little Danny Elfman messageboard!
To answer your rather interesting question:
Yeah, “Edward Scissorhands” and “Simple Plan” are my favorites, too! But don’t you think these two scores are, well, kind of… very, very different? Hm…
Not too crazy about “Hulk”, too – just a “flat, uninspired mishmash of woodwinds, ethnic instruments and female vocals”, as you so eloquently put in your post.Take care.

GuestHi,
i understand your problem because I had the same idea. I own Mars attacks on DVD. The only solution I know of is to record on a mp3 player via the analogic output of your DVD player the isolated score. Then download it on your computer and cut it as you want (lots of blank passages).
It’s not easy but if you want the real thing, I don’t know another way.September 29, 2003 at 2:33 am #46693Anonymous
