ParticipantI was at Sea World Orlando yesterday. My brothers went on the “Atlantis” roller coaster/water ride while I waited with my dad for them to wait in line and ride it (my dad and I didn’t want to get our selves and our stuff wet). Sitting outside the ride for an hour, I couldn’t help but hear the continuously running loop of ambient music around the ride…none other than Danny Elfman’s main titles from Beetlejuice. I have to say that although it is an amazing score, hearing the same excerpt from it for an hour really got me sick of it. I just hope that with time I will be able to listen to the score again. Has anyone else here been to Sea World and heard this loop? Does Sea World even have rights to that music???

ParticipantIf you go on the ride they actually use ‘Edward Scissorhands’ during the dark ride parts and the ‘Beetlejuice’ theme while climbing the lift hills.

ParticipantI haven’t been to Sea World Orlando since I was a little kid, but I didn’t notice any special ambient music. Granted, I didn’t go on the Atlantis ride, I only hung outside it for a few minutes to watch the Commerson’s dolphins (I wasn’t there for fun), but I never heard any Elfman music.
I know I’ve heard Elfman stuff at other parks over the years, I just can’t remember which ones. Oddly enough, I heard the Hulk main titles being played while I donated blood on Monday – doesn’t get any weirder than that.
