GuestI just saw “Secret Window” about an hour ago. Phillip Glass did the score and during the opening titles I thought I heard some notes that sounded like the music to Elfman’s “Sleepy Hollow”. I’m not saying Phillip Glass plagarised it or anything (Of course plagarism is kind of what the movie is about
), but I just liked hearing those haunting notes. The cello was great in PG’s score. I thought it was a great psychological thriller.April 1, 2004 at 9:33 pm #49270Anonymous

GuestI wanna see that film. The trailer’s really interested me. Listening to Glass is wierd… I remember the first time I heard him, thinking his music was a load of rubbishy arpeggios, over and over. But the progressions can be really interesting, and for some still unknown reason, the stuff’s so damn addictive! …thumbs up to The Hours score, by the way – very beautiful music!

How’s Depp’s acting in Secret Window?… not too “funny”, I hope – he sometimes goes a little, er… “funny”.April 2, 2004 at 7:06 am #49281Anonymous
GuestHe’s great (a little too broad of a description, but he is an amazing actor). I don’t want to reveal any spoilers, but he is perfect for that role. He is great when he’s alone and he doesn’t steal the scene with other actors. He has a perfect balance. I highly recommend it.
