    Alexandre Desplate is scoring Rogue One, which is being released this December. Maybe Danny Elfman can score the Han Solo movie that’s being released in 2018. Or if John Williams dies before completing the new trilogy…

    That would be cool. Not the Han Solo one though because that’s just a horrible idea.

    Really excited for Desplat’s Rogue One.

    All joking aside, if John Williams were to die, Michael Giacchino would replace him. J.J. Abrams is still a producer on the trilogy and Giacchino is his go-to guy.

    Yeah, that’s a sad prospect. I don’t like either Giacchino or Desplat, and it seems like both of them are aiming at STAR WARS music for some time to come (Desplat with the upcoming ROGUE ONE and Giacchino stepping in when Williams retires or dies).
