GuestThe track only appeared on one kind of obscure TV themes compilation, so its pretty rare on those kinds of things.

GuestIn terms of the obscure TV compilation, it can be found on a CD called “Television’s Greatest Hits, Volume 7: Cable Ready” (track #50). (And, by the way, track #1 on that same CD is “The Simpsons.”)

GuestThe label ‘Primetime’ (looks like it’s owned by Silvascreen, which makes sense)has milked this track for all that it’s worth. I can see it appearing on the following compilations:
Cops And Private Eyes #1 [PRIMETIME TVPMCD 405]
American Television Themes #3 [PRIMETIME TVPMCD 404]
Murder, She Wrote [PRIMETIME TVPMCD 802]
American Television’s Greatest Hits [PRIMETIME TVPMCD 804] … didn’t catch a volume numberDo we really have to crawl so low for this? I guess you could choose whichever is available, or whichever looks least like not being your bag. If you get what I mean, soldier. Or, yes, accept illicit MP3’s from well-wishers. :o)

GuestThis is the note from “Television’s Greatest Hits, Volume 7: Cable Ready” for Sledgehammer:
“Trust me… I know what I’m doing” barked the loud, authoritative Detective Sledge Hammer (David Rasche), but citizens had reason to dive for cover when he approached. Totally self-confident, and oblivious to almost everyone around him, he carried a giant, pearl-handled .44 magnum (to which he sometimes talked), wore loud shirts and reflecting sunglasses, and caused his bellowing superior, Capt. Trunk, migraines. Often suspended from the force, he nevertheless always seemed to get his man – thanks mostly to his much smarter partner, Officer Dori Doreau. The suitably pompous theme was by movie composer Danny Elfman.

GuestI forgot to mention, this album also has Tales from the Crypt with sound effects. I like the MFADT version better

GuestDoes anyone know where I might be able to get the tablature for this theme? On the DVDs the menus have an updated guitar version of the theme. I would love to get my hands on this. Thanks.
