GuestI TiVo’d the Entertainment Tonight where they showerd new clips from Spider-Man 2, complete with music in them! Here’s a list of where I heard new music:
-Peter and Aunt May were in the bank when Doc Ock attacked, and there was some percussiony brassy music playing.
-Doc Ock was robbing a bank, and the Ock theme played!
-Peter and Mary were in the restaurant of the car crash from the teaser, and a newer, darker love theme played.
-Spider-Man and Ock were fighting on the train, and there was some more brassy percussiony music without much theme until the end when Spider-Man is flying through the air, where we hear a bit of the brassy Spider-Man theme from the first movie.
I keep anticipating this movie more and more! Unfortunately my local movie theater doesn’t yet have midnight tickets for Spider-Man 2…bah. Of course, if there’s any word on getting the rumored Spider-Man 2 score tracks–including the piano track–up on the site, post ASAP!!!

GuestVery good news! You can hear more of the score by hearing the extended versions of the first clips to appear at sonymusicstore.com by going to the official Spider-Man 2 site and going to their section on the sountrack and listening to the previews. Here’s the link:

It may sound the same at the beginning, but there’s more at the end of each clip. This includes that final note that we were denied at the end of the Spidey Suite, plus more after that.

GuestAwww…
“Cliche” is what makes the composer! Danny has his signature moments, and that’s what’s important! It seems like a lot of people focus on originality instead of sheer “coolness.” Yeah, originality is definitely a good thing, but nobody just says “Oh, that cue was just too cool!” anymore. Ya dig?
