I’ve just seen Spider-Man 2 in IMAX format last night! I gotta say, I’ve never been more amazed by the a screen like that. 8 stories tall, 24,000 volts of digital sound. It was incredible. They showed one trailer for a film that will be going to IMAX in 3D. The Polar Express, starring Tom Hanks. It looks really good…visual wise. Then, some digital images to prepare you for the feature presentation. After that, the Columbia Pictures intro, along with Danny’s main title theme kicks in. All of the audio from the action was being felt in my chest. Although it was $14.00, it was an even greater experience than regular theaters. I recommend anyone who hasn’t seen it in IMAX format, that they should go right away. Next up, the Spider-Man 2 DVD, which is being released November 30.
