GuestSo the two tracks on the soundtrack album, are these different from anything that will be on the score album? If so then I guess I need to get both…

GuestI’m still wondering if John Debney’s “Special Delivery” track is part of “spidus Interruptus.” I really loved that track. I’m also wondering if the often-debated Chris Young track for his demonstration is part of “Doc Ock is Born.”

Guest“Doc Ock is Born” is likely the original version of the cue that Young ultimately reworked.

GuestI actually think that “Doc Ock Is Born” is an Elfman piece that DID make it into the movie. The choral thing that Christopher Young did (based on a piece from his own HELLRAISER 2 score) is called, “The Demonstration” in the end credits – it plays when Doc Ock first attaches his tentacles and starts to work. When things start to go wrong, the music switches back to Elfman. I’ll bet that what we hear on the CD is only that, honestly.

GuestTo add to the above, hopefully “Train / Appreciation” will include part of his action cue for the scene that was dumped. “Aunt May Packs” was just a tracked in version of “Getting Through” from the first score (which, by the way, makes ZERO sense as the musical theme in that cue is usually associated with Peter pining for Mary Jane — NOT Aunt May or Peter’s sense of duty.) Perhaps that cue will be somewhat different on the CD. Also, “The Goblin Returns” is a good candidate as that too sounded suspiciously like a cue from the first flick. I’m sure there are others, but I don’t think it’s really worth speculating about until the CD is released.
Oh, and the two suites on the song CD seem to be made up of bits of cues from all over the movie. Spidey Suite: “He’s Back” / “At Long Last Love” among others. Doc Ock Suite: “Doc Ock Is Born” / “The Bank_Saving May” / “Armageddon,” et al. They won’t be on the score CD in the form they’re in on the song CD, but all the elements of them are likely to be there.

GuestI still don’t understand why Raimi didn’t ask Elfman to reorchestrate his cues from the first movie himself to have new material that would turn around previous themes and tracks rather than ask him to compose a complete new score and then finally decide to take it off to use the first movie score instead.
Anyway, is the score cd still going to be released on July 20th or do we have to wait one more week (if we listen to Amazon) ?
