GuestI hated that it took so long for the first score to be released! And it seems as though its gonna be the same treatment for the second one! Well as long as it WILL be released im happy i guess! I heard about 10 seconds of the new score when they played a clip of the movie this morning on Good Day L.A. It sounded pretty good but the clip wasnt long enough for any real comments on it! Im sure it will be great! I cant wait to hear Dr. Octopus’s theme!

GuestSeems that Bridget has kept Elfman from his duties.

Wonder if there is any truth to any of this?

GuestActually, for Spiderman 2, I really couldn’t care less because I’m not that interested in it. I just hope (if this is true) that he doesn’t start doing this on every movie afterwards. That would suck!

GuestIf that’s true (for Debney at least), I’m extremly disappointed.

GuestOh, by the way…it seems like the suites are “available”……if you look illegally enough….hem.
I’m listening to them right now. They’re about 4 minutes long and really really great…

GuestCool! Hey, Edward, what bit rate did you get it at? I found one at 128 kbps.

GuestWhat the heck?! It’s 4’50” of complete silence! What a ripoff! Edward, where’d you find yours?

GuestYou can get both Suites using e-mule. I LOVED both of them, specially the Doc Ock one which has a very distinctive, brassy theme.
Get rid of kazaa. It’s just full of viruses, spyware and FAKES!

GuestWhoa. I finally found it and listened to it. I started crying at the end. He took the old Spider-Man themes and worked them in and they are FANTASTIC. A the beginning it sounds like the End Credits for the first movie, then continues to sound incredibly Elfman-ish as the song plays on. I think he might have even brought back a little of his old style in there. I do believe that the finale for Spider-Man 2 is in there, because it sounds very much like the first finale except with different instruments emphasized. I noticed that there seem to be a few Batman elements within the suite. It is a very beautiful piece. Listen to it when you are able to.

GuestHmm. Don’t know how you are finding these. I can’t find them anywhere on e-mule.

GuestWell, I just got the soundtrack so I can listen to the score and see what the movie sounds like and well the score sucks. It’s pretty Batman-ish! Sounds like Elfman wants to retire. It looks like they mixed the original Spiderman movie score with the Batman and Men in Black 2 score together. I’m just a bit disappointed by the score but the songs are great and a lot better than the first Spiderman soundtrack. Just hope it won’t be like last time when the songs that were on the soundtrack weren’t even in the movie but I’ll bet you anything that Vindicated and Ordinary will be at the end credits of Spiderman 2. Looking forward to June 30th the movie looks so amazing!
