GuestIf this message board was even about speakers or whatever, I still wouldn’t get what you’re talking about.
P.S. Learn to use periods so people better understand what you’re saying.

GuestIt is best to keep your speakers as square in position as you can, unless your reciever can handle different lengths to the listener and you can change the volume on each one. I don’t know if you will be able to see this but here you go:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
….L……S…C……….R….
………………………….
………………………….
………………………….
….LS………………..RS…
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxL=Left Speaker, R=Right, S=Subwoofer, C=Center, LS=Left Surround, RS=Right surround.
If that looks weird, just copy the text and paste it in notepad.

GuestKeep the sub on the floor, as it works best when the vibrations can carry into the room. You can pretty much put it wherever, but make sure it’s not up too loud because you will kill the stereo seperation. The whole thing about subs is that they don’t really have a positional sound, but I recommend keeping it close to the center because you will notice if you are only hearing bass fron the left or the right (unless that room has GREAT acoustics). Also try to keep it in front so that you can feel it punch. A friend of mine has acually put his in back with the surround speakers, but that was horrible because all it did was shake the couch. Hope this helps.

GuestOh, Bad idea man, put it somewhere in the MIDDLE. You have probably noticed that you are getting bass pumped directly into your Right ear, it’s just throwing off your balance. If you have more than the standard 5.1 speakers, you should make SURE that your reciever can adjust each speaker volume. If it can’t, don’t use the extra speakers. There is no “setting” for multiple speakers, you just have to mess with the volume until it sounds balanced.
also how low of db volume 50 or higher? <=
totally don’t understand that question.Knight

GuestHow should I set the delay what I mean
March 25, 2003 at 7:43 pm #44510Anonymous
GuestYou should set it based on the length from the speaker to your listening position. My receiver does this by letting you input the distance from each speaker in feet. If your doesn’t support that, just try messing with it until it sounds right.
