Samples
Roughly 22 minutes of Danny on the album.
July 19, 2015 at 1:38 pm #59105LambegueParticipantIt seems nice, quite predictable intimate Elfman material as he does rather often lately, but I love it so no problem with this…
(It’s not the same topic, but does any of you have informations about Tulip Fever, and a possible release of the score ?)July 19, 2015 at 2:39 pm #59106ddddeeeeParticipantI think this sounds really different for Danny. I can hear Silver Linings Playbook and Promised Land in it but it sounds different to both. Very electronic, quite minimalist.
Tulip Fever, the movie, doesn’t have a release date yet. I’d guess it’ll get one soon.
July 28, 2015 at 5:50 pm #59980Ryan KeaveneyKeymaster+1 for Apple Music. Listening now.
I’ve got the CD on pre-order, but I don’t think it ships until the end of August.

August 29, 2015 at 2:37 pm #599249fingeredElfParticipantGot mine today. Sticker on the front says that the CD is limited to 1000 copies. Get it while you can. The End of The Tour on Amazon
August 29, 2015 at 3:28 pm #59925ddddeeeeParticipantThanks for that, I was gonna hold out for a while tbh.
August 30, 2015 at 9:12 am #59916DannyBikerParticipantThanks for sharing. I was waiting as well but ordered to be sure not to miss it.
September 1, 2015 at 3:45 am #59918Ryan KeaveneyKeymasterGot mine too — yes, limited to 1000 copies. Digipack. Nice little score if you like ambient Elfman.
September 14, 2015 at 3:43 pm #59910LambegueParticipantI received mine today. Very nice little score, hovering in a way…I loved my first listening. And the songs are nice too, they don t break the experience.
September 16, 2015 at 2:07 pm #59911ThorParticipantPersonally, I didn’t like the songs at all, so I edited them out. Plays much more nicely now; I love Elfman in this mode.
September 16, 2015 at 7:41 pm #59912DannyBikerParticipantGot my copy today as well. I love “independent Elfman” but I’m having a hard time getting into it…
September 16, 2015 at 9:28 pm #59913LambegueParticipantI advise you to dig it a bit, I like it more and more…
September 20, 2015 at 2:06 am #59895MonsterheadParticipantThe Digital Bits reports that the upcoming Blu-ray will contain A Conversation with Danny Elfman featurette.

January 1, 2016 at 7:20 pm #59720ddddeeeeParticipantApparently the Elfman feature on the Blu-Ray is 8 minutes long.
Have any of you seen the movie? I saw it a few months ago and it’s really stuck with me, definitely one of the best movies Danny has scored.
I noticed two cues adding to about 3-4 minutes of music not on the album. Intro and the two Reprise cues aren’t in the movie.
January 26, 2016 at 6:22 pm #59283iggybiggyParticipantI rented the Blu-Ray this past weekend. I saw the Danny Elfman feature. While I enjoyed it, I did not learn much from it. THere were some cool Mystic Knights photos used during it, so that was cool. I think any danny “collector”, should buy the movie. Love the score, and the movie was enjoyable too, plus we as danny fans, get the extra feature as well.
