I thought this was going to be a serious discussion about the new Exorcist prequel, which director Paul Schrader was booted off. A lot of his footage (basically the whole movie) will be re-shot by Renny Harlin.
At least that’s what I heard.
That’s true. Schrader delivered a finished movie which Warner Brothers didn’t like at all. They wanted more gore and blood so they hired Renny Harlin. Everyone involved thinks that Alan Smithee will end up directing the movie, though.
Ah, good old Alan Smithee! What a great filmmaker he is!
I do not understand what relation it to Danny has?
Here’s the relation: Danny Elfman didn’t do the score, nor did he animate the bunnies.
Composers need an Alan Smithee, even Elfman said it once.
Knight (Who could not believe how much of Elfman’s score was taken out of Anywhere but Here).
Composers do have an Alan Smithee. He’s called “James Horner”.
