Is Danny Elfman the fiddler in The Gift?
June 16, 2002 at 3:27 pm #40375AnonymousGuestYes. He had some lines of dialogue which have been cut out, apparently by Elfman’s request, since he says he was a lousy actor!
June 17, 2002 at 6:03 am #40389AnonymousGuestEven without a major appearance by Danny, the movie’s still pretty saucy. I’d definately recommend it. That, and I’m impressed it was wrote by an actor–not too many actually take the time to go into screenwriting, you know?
June 17, 2002 at 5:22 pm #40394AnonymousGuestWhy didn`t he also score the pic?
by the way other composers have been in movies they didn`t score:
Marc Shaiman was in both Broadcast News and Hot Shots
Ira Newborn was in The Cowboy Way and in Junioractually Chris Young should have been in Danny`s role and Danny should have scored it in my point of view, why not?
or if there`s going to be a sequel i think Danny would love to score itJune 18, 2002 at 3:41 pm #40398AnonymousGuestCool. I would love to do something like that. I would hate to be the main character in a film, just a cameo. Main characters have too much responsibility!! Who knows what’s in-store for them? (An on-screen kiss with a tranny that has a shoe fettish? This doesn’t bare thinking.)
