GuestHey, does anybody know what the name of the piece is played at the very end of the movie The Pianist? The one he plays to the German soldier. I’m guessing it’s by Chopin.

Guestall the pieces are by Chopin (except for “moving to the ghetto” by Wojciech Kilar)… but it’s called “Ballade No. 1 in G Minor, Op. 23” – number 5 on the soundtrack. Any thoughts on the film?

GuestI have a similar question. In the Pianist Teaser, what is the music playing after the bomb hits. I have been looking everywhere but I can’t find it.
Knight (Oh, and I don’t mean the Newton Howard Piece from Restoration, that was the trailer)

GuestTa, Jess. The Pianist is a brilliant movie. I bought the Special Edition 2-disc DVD (sounds fancy, eh?) for only 8.99 (the pounds sign on my keyboard isn’t working, by the way) – lucky me.
