Rumor at AICN is that Burton is toying with the idea of retelling Disney’s SLEEPING BEAUTY from the perspective of it’s villain, Maleficent. Interesting!

January 20, 2010 at 6:19 am #64971TenderLumplingParticipantDid you know the only Burton films that weren’t adapted from another medium is Beatlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, and Corpse Bride? Reimagining is what Burton does.
January 20, 2010 at 7:09 am #64972Descent Into MysteryParticipantIt’s true that Burton has done mostly adaptations, but he used to balance it with original work. Pee-Wee, Beetlejuice, Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns, Ed Wood, Mars Attacks. See? Balance. He should return to that.

January 21, 2010 at 6:38 am #64983Descent Into MysteryParticipantI like all the Tim Burton movies. All I’m saying is that I would like him to do original stuff again.
January 21, 2010 at 7:26 am #64984TenderLumplingParticipantIs it okay if he remakes his own original projects, like Frankenweenie? I actually think that’s a really good idea.
