GuestHi everyone,
I have been a danny elfman fan since first seeing edward scissorhands. Recently I saw somewhere on the net that he did the theme song to Transformers. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Either way, it is pretty cool as far as cartoon themes go! Thanks for your help.March 2, 2003 at 4:50 am #44236Anonymous
GuestDanny Elfman didn’t write the theme for TRANSFORMERS.
Someone has their .mp3s mixed up. No one said you have to be intelligent to download music for free…!

Guestteehee. Danny sits down at the piano… “Let’s see… ‘Transformers…robots…in…disguise…’ Yes, yes. Catchy.”
or better yet…Thundercats or something hahahahaha.
I liked cartoon themes of the 80s…
I’m not dissing ya BallZac; but I just got this image in my head and it won’t go away.
Like someone giving Danny a Transformer toy “You see, they turn into other things…think you can write about it?” Danny messes with it for a few seconds “What the f***does it do?” And unable to get it to ‘transform’, tosses it over his head and pens the line “Transformers, More than meets the eye.” taaa-da!
that woulda been cool.

GuestSpeaking of cool TV themes (cartoons in particular), anyone remeber the theme to Eek! The Cat? That was one of the best ones I ever heard (besides Tales from the Crypt). I wonder what ever happened to that show….
Knight (Who loves it when people mix up thrash metal with stuff [see To Die For])

GuestI love the theme song to Eek! A similar theme is the one from the animated show Duckman. But when they show reruns of it on Comedy Central, they cut down the opening sequence so you can’t hear the whole thing.
