GuestRyan and I have been in contact about a possible contest in which the prize is the “Big Fish” soundtrack on CD, but due to complications, the MFADP site will not be hosting one. So >I< will. Clauses up front:
1. This contest is not affiliated with MFADP, its employees, etc. etc. I’m doing this for fun myself, purchasing the prize with my own money and mailing it to a winner.2. No, I don’t have legal verification that I will actually send the prize to the winner, but then, you haven’t lost anything by playing, so there. (But no, I won’t wimp out — there WILL be a winner and it won’t be me.)
How to Play:
1. Go to http://photos.yahoo.com/motpicvideo2. Open the MFADP Contest Photo Album
3. Identify the 20 movies represented by the “Music by Danny Elfman” title cards.
4. Report your answers — clearly, using the letters A through T as they are assigned in the Photo Album — to: mfadp2004@yahoo.com
5. If you can wait this long without buying the album yourself — a winner will be announced on Saturday, January 10 (no, it isn’t far away.) The winner will be the person with the most correct answers out of 20. In case of multiple correct entries, the winner will be drawn at random.
6. The e-mail address you use to report your list of answers is your identity, and is how I will contact you if you won. Make sure you do not cancel the e-mail account you use to enter this contest, or a new winner will be selected.
7. You may enter once per e-mail address. (TECHNICALLY, I’d like people to enter only ONCE, but since I can’t verify that you DON’T own 20 different e-mail accounts, I’m not going to fight it.) If you didn’t read this clause and enter twice on one e-mail account, I will count the FIRST entry as your official one.
8. Those hesitant about revealing their postal address to a total stranger should avoid entering, as I WILL need to know where to send the prize.
9. The contest will close at 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Only e-mails in my box by this time will be considered. I am not responsible for slow servers delivering e-mail late after closing time.
10. It’s all for fun anyway, you’re not paying any fees, and you have nothing to lose, so any lawsuits over the “fairness” of this contest will be laughed at.
Have fun!

Guestyeah i think i screwed up maybe 4 or 6 of them…i got all of Burton’s flicks, because i’ve seen each of them to death. But the OTHER ones? Man…not easy…Dude, let me tell you – we need more frames that have “Mission Impossible theme by Lalo Schifrin” – i think that was the only one i DID get right, haha.

GuestIf it’s any consolation — if I had not been the one to rent all those videos and capture those frames, I wouldn’t have gotten more than about 50% myself.

GuestPretty tough for me too. I could only get eleven of ’em. And to think, I call my self an Elfman fan. My head is hung in shame.

GuestLOL – This is quite funny! As I went through them I was thinking “Jeeez – I don’t know what half of these are, I’ll have no chance!” I thought I was the only one. I probably only got about 11 or 12 right
I’m pleased there are people to share the pain with!>:;o!

GuestThanks. That was so much fun! (Though, I am still stumped by one of them.) The voices in my head are debating: Should I take a trip to Blockbuster or just wait until the contest is over?

Guestif you’re going to spend 4 bucks for the movie, then just go buy the cd?

GuestIt’s up to you.
If you wait to make the decision until the 10th, you just MIGHT save a little money.January 5, 2004 at 11:55 am #47437Anonymous
Guestman, i wish they had not included those damn songs on the Fish cd…what a waste – i have no inclination to listen to Elvis or Buddy Holly or Canned Heat…sucks.

GuestI have the soundtrack so I didn’t play. However, I knew them all instantly, except the last one.

GuestI just got the Prize from amazon.com today and I’m DYING to listen to it, but I won’t since I promised it to a winner. If you win and you already have the CD or for some other reason don’t want it, I will gladly keep it.
