GuestI bought that CD in december. Ironic that four of the tracks are Elfman, is it not? Yeah, their “This is Halloween” is hilarious because the high school choir can’t act. But I thought the singing parts were better than the singing in the movie. Well, it was supposed to sound that way in the movie, a bunch of monsters were singing… but when they choir-fied it, it made it sound beautiful.

GuestI’ve brought this up before. I have a small collection of NON original soundtrack film scores. and in the vain of classical music, it’s very interesting to hear different interpretations. I’ve always also been concerned about the music’s ability to live on beyond the original soundtrack. I don’t think there are enough film music concerts, but hoping someday to hear Elfman’s music, fills me with doubt, when you hear this SCARY MUSIC CD version of SLeepy Hollow, it doesn’t even sound like they are singing the same notes. I did enjoy the CINEMA CHORAL CLASSICS version of Edward, and Joel McNeely’s BATMAN TRILOGY album. I want thi music to survive.
