Soundtrack.Net has posted 30-second clips for every track on John Williams’s “War of the Worlds” score. It sounds pretty good, harnessing his great ability to score action and interesting parts of several of his previous scores. The clips offer very little for a very big score, so I’m sure the whole thing is amazing. For those of you interested, take a listen:

Soundtrack.Net also has samples from “Batman Begins” and they’ve provided a bit of commentary that fairly reviews the music. Although some of us are unsure of what to think of the score, they really found a good way to describe the essence of the score and how us Elfman fans will react to it. The main theme’s starting to grow on me a little, actually.
