I’m trying to get a friend into Boingo (the name already freaks him out), but I’m not sure what song I should show him first. What do you think?

Yes, Insanity has my vote. (The live version, the studio version is kind of weak compared to it.)
Ooh, this is tough. You may want to play variety of songs- maybe one from each album (or whatever albums you have), or tracks from the Anthology. Since Boingo went through so much change over time, if you play a little of everything, your friend can see what they like best. As for which to play first, I suggest playing a song that had a lot of impact on you when you first heard it.
Or you could take the easy route and start with Dead Man’s Party.
Insanity would be my choice, although I really don’t like the live version of insanity. I don’t like it when he sings with the choir parts.
