Guesthey am i the only person who is somewhat dissappointed that the young/debney cues dont appear on the score? i thought both of them had amazing music for the movie. i know it was primarily a danny elfman score but i think that a film score should have all the music from the film. its not like they had minor roles. they’re music was for a couple important scenes. i was really looking forward to Young’s ‘demonstration’ and ‘runaway train’ (as they were called and credited in the film) in particular. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THERE IS AN MP3 OF THOSE SONGS OR HAVE ANYONE TO GET A HOLD OF THOSE TRACKS! THEN I CAN FEEL AS IF I HAVE THE COMPLETE SPIDEY 2 SCORE EXPERIENCE.

GuestChris Young did the great choral score, when Doctor Octavious was doing a demonstration with his tentacles. That was so hott. I thought Danny did that. It sounds so much like him. But that kind of music can only be used in the film. It happens. I’ve heard some music from the the original Spider-Man film, that wasn’t on Danny’s score album. It’s called ‘additional music’. Sometimes the music could be too short anyway, to fit on the score.

GuestThe arms presentation sounded nothing like Danny sorry…

GuestI believe that Young used a choral version of the Doc Ock theme when Octavius puts on the mechanical arms, much like the choral version of the Doc Ock theme when Ock hops off the train and onto a building after his line, “you’ve got a train to catch.” Young scored that, right? In some ways I like it better than “Train/Appreciation” on the album because the album song is much like “Revenge” from the first one, though I believe that Danny’s “Appreciation” beats the cue used in the movie, “Farewell” from the first movie by far.
Debney’s “Special Delivery” cue remains one of my favorites in the entire movie.July 29, 2004 at 7:52 am #51666Anonymous
GuestI think the cue was all right (a bit heavy-handed for the opening scene), but passable, mock, mock-Elfman.

GuestI was a little disapointed when i found out “Demostration” wasn’t on the score. I hope they do release it sometime.
