Who is John Williams’ son’s favorite artist…

For those of you who don’t know, John Williams’ son was in a band and scores a few movies here and there. For instance, he provided the Ewok celebration music for the original Return of the Jedi.

He is asked at one point who his favorite artist is:

“I listen to a lot of film scores… Forrest Gump and Contact… I love that score. I’m also a huge fan of Danny Elfman. He and I have a similar background, but he’s a genius. He’s a tremendously talented musician, and has a wonderful ear and a really sharp mind to be able to come up with these flurries he does, these wonderful orchestral flurries.”

Joseph was not just in “any kind of band”. I assume Toto is familiar to everyone. He is also the singing voice of Simba in THE LION KING. Among many other things.
