Wait til they get a load of this…
June 22, 2010 at 8:18 pm #65524sandyclawsParticipantCould this be one of the two 2-disc releases La-la Land will be debuting? I sure hope so!
June 22, 2010 at 10:40 pm #65536John MullinParticipantWow, that’d be awesome. I hope it’s true!
June 23, 2010 at 2:21 am #65538Descent Into MysteryParticipantSo, the FULL Batman score. They should have released it last year during the 20th anniversary.
June 24, 2010 at 9:03 am #65542ThorParticipant[Default Thor reply]I don’t think they should release it at all. The existing album is perfect.[/Default Thor reply]
June 24, 2010 at 9:06 pm #65545Descent Into MysteryParticipantThe existing album is ALMOST perfect. We’re missing the cue where Batman crashed through the window at the Museum to save Vicki Vale. We’re also missing the cue for when the Batwing first appears on screen. Add those two plus a remastering and you’ve reached perfection.
June 24, 2010 at 10:16 pm #65546DannyBikerParticipantI just hope they would propose the film main titles as a bonus and not as the first track. I’m one of the few who largely prefer the album’s snare drums march…

July 22, 2010 at 6:27 pm #65634moongirl84ParticipantAnd when will this “music box'” be released? I
July 22, 2010 at 6:35 pm #65636ThorParticipantIs that Jeff Bond on Elfman’s right?
As for the music box thingie, well it obviously sounds interesting. However, I fear it’s just a gathering of his Burton scores, which I already own (I could care less if they’re expanded). Hopefully, though, there will be some “gems” in there that we haven’t heard before. Let’s wait and see.
July 22, 2010 at 6:45 pm #65637moongirl84ParticipantTrue. I also own most of the scores of Tim Burton’s films. I paid about $6 for Batman Returns and no it wasn’t a used CD, It was brand new from Sam Goody 11 years ago. Still the box set sounds interesting. It’s just temptation I guess.
July 22, 2010 at 6:55 pm #65638Ryan KeaveneyKeymasterJust before Christmas.
July 22, 2010 at 6:55 pm #65639Ryan KeaveneyKeymasterThat is indeed Jeff Bond, who is working on the project. And there will be gems in the boxed set, Thor
July 22, 2010 at 7:20 pm #65640Ryan KeaveneyKeymaster“The set, which includes art from Burton, will also have 14 CDs, a DVD and a book with interviews and a conversation between the two men. Look for it in stores just before Christmas this year.”
July 22, 2010 at 8:17 pm #65641TenderLumplingParticipantNice! I can’t wait to see the track list on that baby.
July 23, 2010 at 1:44 am #65645greatbeyondParticipantAnyone know where this music on this site is from? Is it from the MOMA exhibit or is it something new?? I don’t recognize it.
July 23, 2010 at 2:27 am #65646Descent Into MysteryParticipant25th Anniversary CD? I called it.
July 23, 2010 at 5:41 am #65647DannyBikerParticipantYeah, it will really depend on the content and price for us elfmaniacs.
July 23, 2010 at 12:35 pm #65651Ryan KeaveneyKeymasterIt is believed to be from the MOMA exhibit.
July 24, 2010 at 5:54 pm #65662ddddeeeeParticipantMaybe I’m counting wrong, but is there not one more disc than times they’ve worked together? Will Batman be the 2 disc version then?
July 24, 2010 at 8:55 pm #65664bookbinder3ParticipantI wondered if the extra disc would be TV stuff, though The Jar is the only thing I can think of that they borth did together.
Will these be expanded scores? Surely they know the people who are going to want this will have most of his scores anyway, what’s our incentive?July 26, 2010 at 4:58 am #656669fingeredElfParticipantI picked up my copy of the Bat Man Score at Comic Con and they said that they are working on doing the same for Batman Returns. It will be coming soon to a La La Records near you. I’ll post some pictures and video soon.
