Lol . Have you all seen each other though? I havnt seen any of you obviously. Yeah , whats with that.. i dont know maybe *inspired orchestra / film music girls that are on chat boards * turn you guys on? lol i dont know . I know you didnt mean to offend me . It`s just when you were like ” Your probly a teenaged girl that doesnt know film music at all ” you made me sound a bit predictable.. and thats not me . Predictable doesnt even go in the list of describing me! But all of you are all so very nice . Lol so whats with this?? do young girls turn you guys on? i think Elfman turns people on in boards then it also sets the mood with the music. Hehehe lol.

In an interview talking about how he met Bridget Fonda, Elfman jokingly said that the orchestra is all he has these days to impress girls with since his rock band Oingo Boingo broke up (and of course, in the 80’s, it wasn’t any trouble meeting girls for Danny, who was in a rock band). In fact, one common interest Bridget and Danny had (they met at a party) was Bernard Herrmann. So he invited her to the Red Dragon sessions to hear the main titles performed, and then asked her out on a date (I believe it was that night, though it might have been later that week). A pretty sweet story.

And I just turned 18, but I have been in love with Danny Elfman’s music since I was 12. I just got out of high school, thank God, but I didn’t know another Elfman fan in high school, or really anybody who enjoyed orchestral music, then again, I’ve always liked stuff nobody my age liked (like foreign films! add orchestral music to that and you’re an outcast). But let me say that it’s a bigger world once you get out of high school, and you will find more people outside of the high school world who share your love for orchestral music and whatever else you love that people in high school dismiss. Danny Elfman is a BIG turn on for some people. His music is lovely, gothic, imaginative, rousing, and very romantic…many people just need to be exposed to his brilliance. I know that there are a lot of women out there would find something in Elfman’s music (mostly if they have a general love/patience/appreciation for orchestral music in general). Good luck on meeting people, it will happen :)

Thats pretty interesting . The Elfman music i listen too is pretty romantic and i love that type of music. Its just to bad that there is no-one who has the same interests as me and would listen to it with me * oh so very romantic * but im sure one day i will find that one person . Hehehe i wouldnt be surprised if it was anyone from this board that i got married to or something because everyone here has the same interests in me .. to bad everyone is older though. I think Elfman music can pretty much set the mood anywhere any place any time! thats why im such a big fan of his.

Of course young girls turn me on…I’m a young guy! True, his music can be used anywhere from a Halloween garnish to a romantic dinner. Are you from New York? I’m guessing that because of the server that it lists you as. I’m from New England myself. You can e-mail me if you’d like ;-)

Kind of wierd i was offended by you huh? Lol , sad thing is i dont even know your name =P . Oh well im sure i will find out later on . I enjoy most of Elfman`s work either when its romantic to dark scary or just a sad piece you can find you self shedding a tear to at the end of the movie or song if you dowloaded it or bought the CD .

I’m David. Everyone else here who’s wondered my what my real name is now has it. You know what’s terribly ironic? I’ll be in Florida for half the summer. I’m originally from West Palm Beach, and I’ve lived here for four years now. Unfortunately, I can’t get e-mail at the moment because Yahoo seems to be down, at least on my computer. Anyone else on Yahoo not able to access your mail?

Lol , Thats a really nice name . The Danny Elfman`s dating service for darkened people has been working eh ? To bad Yahoo isnt working ;( . Thats pretty cool that your gunna be down in Florida . Maybe i`ll see you . I was whatching Chicago and i had no idea that Danny Elfman did the music till i looked who did the music for the movie . Pretty wierd he doesnt sound like the type that would do like musical movies as in * Dancing with music . * It sounds wierd to me because all the Movies Elfman has done there usually romantic freaky or just a really good movie! So yeah . I had no idea.

FYI, Elfman didn’t write the songs for Chicago, only a couple of additional scoring cues that were needed to fill out the movie. “After Midnight” and “Roxie’s Suite” I think they were.

I feel a bit guilty about not having heard any of his Chicago cues yet. ‘ve never actually seen Chicago. I’ll watch it someday when it’s on HBO or something because everyone says that it’s amazing, but I really don’t like Richard Gere and Rene Zellwegger. Maybe I will see you, stephanie, when I’m down south. My dad lives in Boca Raton but I’ll probably be in Miami half the time, it’s an awesome city. In fact, I was just there a few weeks ago for my stepmom’s law school graduation. I’m still working on getting my Yahoo mail….I want it to work!
