ParticipantVery unexpected, but YAAAAAAY! Nothing beats an Elfman action score (not counting “The Kingdom”). I can’t wait! Thanks for the info!

KeymasterWow, very cool. I saw this trailer and figured it belonged to the Media Ventures throng.

ParticipantI thought Elfman was tired of doing action movies?

ParticipantElfman’s always talked about his Russian musical influences, so I’ll bet he was pretty interested in working with a Russian director (who’s supposed to be amazing), and probably the same the other way around. But yes, a relief that none of the Media Ventures (or Remote Control Productions, apparently) guys were tagged for this. I hope Elfman never gets sick of writing action scores, as he’s probably one of the best around at writing them.

ParticipantI really enjoyed NIGHTWATCH and DAYWATCH – two very distinctive films. I’m sure it will be a fun collaboration to see play out. Coun’t me in…

ParticipantWon’t we just be getting another score like The Kingdom? With lots of synth and percussion?

ParticipantProbably, but I would like to hear how that style progresses – wouldn’t you?

ParticipantBah! The movie’s been pushed back to June 27.

ParticipantSeems that every film Elfman has been attached to lately has seen its release date shifted (Meet the Robinsons, Charlotte’s Web, The Invasion, Hellboy II, The Kingdom). Now “Wanted” will be competing directly with two very high profile films (Pixar’s “WALL-E” and Bryan Singer’s “Valkyrie”).

ParticipantPushing it from March to the summer?
That’s a good sign.
