Do you agree? I understand WHY he wasn’t, but one can dream.

    And it’s already gone…

May I ask what it was?

Remember when WB released the Ani-Matrix which took place in between the first movie and the two sequels? Well…they are doing the same with Batman. They are releasing a Batman anime that takes plain in-between Begins and Dark Knight. I don’t know if they are using the Zimmer score but the video leaked on YouTube was using Shirley Walker material as temp music.

No … Batman ANIME? Yeesh! Why is everyone so into this mediocre looking style? It all looks the bloody SAME! Why doesn’t if just go away?

    I like anime.

It makes no sense to score the middle of BEGINS and DARK KNIGHT with Elfman’s sound.

    #60186

They were using Shirley Walker as temp music, so they probably wanted a sound like that instead of the usual Zimmer crap. Besides…even though WB “claims” it takes place between Begins and TDK it probably won’t be canon. Just like the Animatrix. They aren’t gonna put restrictions like that on Nolan and future filmmakers.

Three lesser-knowns are scoring the so-called “Batmanime”:

Some of the score that they used for the video is from the episode, It’s Never Too Late, which is just breathtaking.

I had no idea Bruce Timm was directing this. Very promising, indeed.

I’m not particularly into anime, but to say that it all looks the same is a complete fallacy.

It’s not a fallacy if it’s an opinion. If you look at the art direction, I don’t see an artist’s style. I see anime, period. I guess that’s why they give it a name.

    #60197

Anime is just a style. Each artist adds his/her stamp within that style.

Didn’t Christopher Drake score the Hellboy animated movies?

Ugh! You have obviously not seen anime. Do some research on the subject before making any judgments on it because it is apparent you have no idea what you are talking about. True, there is some crap out there but Japanese anime is some of the most beautiful stuff out there and this will be a beautiful project. Go watch some anime guy! That’s my angry rant for the week.

Hey don’t get smart. All I read was the link. I saw Drake’s name in it. I didn’t click the link. Okay.
