ParticipantDose Gus Van Sant still want to do the grunge version of Psycho?
Will he include danny to do the Psycho score in a grunge version, god. Alone the classic horror score would sound perfect in hard core rythm gitar bass drums, maybe a little keyboard. I can hear the string murder now…..And to keep it more updated Norman will have to be born around the 50’s 0r 60’s. To make ‘ ” Mother ‘ ” more aged referenced. And build his charater to the style in the70’s, 80’s and 90’s upbringing.

ParticipantYou mean what would I do with a project like this? I wouldn’t do anything. I think the whole idea is just wrong and stupid.

ParticipantMaybe Van Sant didn’t feel he ruined psycho enough the last time and wants another go at it?

ParticipantThe film is actually aired right now and I like what I see. Beside Elfman’s contribution, I really appreciate Van Sant’s formal approach. This remake belongs in a museum more than theatres : what happens to a movie 40 years later its release. What can we modify, what can’t we ? Is the addition of the colour changing the perception of it ? Can we recycle a masterpiece ? All those kind of very abstract questions that Warhol, to take a famous example (but there are many others), introduced in our cultural panorama.
This isn’t your ordinary remake, believe me; Van Sant is a far more intelligent and concerned filmmaker than that. But of course, you can dislike or disapprove his approach…

ParticipantShould I be allowed to post this image on this board? This is the kind of artistic question that this image asks to the viewers from our modern-day society. Some other artistic questions that could be answered is: What is this man really doing? Is it an illusion or an allusion? Or is he simply using an abstract method of evoking happiness, pleasure, or fun to awaken and pep an otherwise drowsy audience?
