ParticipantWow, didn’t see that one coming. At least Peter Jackson had the grace to maintain his friendship with Howard Shore despite their creative differences. Very classy. I’m sure JNH will do a fine job on the film. It’s not like it’s an 11th hour project either, there’s still 2 months until the release. If I recall correctly, Danny had less time to work on Hulk and that turned out wonderfully. Shame that Danny, a once collaborator with Peter Jackson, wasn’t called in for the job. Not like we expected it, but still, a neat concept.

He might’ve been, though, presumably, Danny turned it down because of Meet the Robinsons and Charlotte’s Web.
Danny mentioned in an interview that he won’t work on two scores simultaneously.
