Cirque du Soleil’s IRIS now has an official website where you can preview the show, and hear a bit of Danny’s original music.

Danny’s official credit is “Composer and Music Director”. IRIS opens Summer 2011.

I know this hasn’t been recorded yet, but I hope this get’s a CD release some day. I live too far from LA. And have no plans to go there.

New story. What’s the form with shows like this? I know there are a few score recordings from other Cirque stuff. A big composer like Danny would surely deserve a recording. Then, why hasnt Rabbit and Rogue been released? Or Joby Talbot’s Alice Ballet. Do these people not WANT to make money?

I just listened to it…It’s fantastic. Elfman creates something completly new, while using technics he alreaddy used in some of his precedent works. Every track creates a particular and strong mood, the instrumentation is quite exciting…
Well, maybe i’ll sound totally non objective, but for me, it’s just perfect.

While lacking the development of Serenada Schizophrana it does contain it’s exuberance in spades! Loved every minute of it!
