ParticipantLots of legit background in this article, so maybe it’s true?
“a Q&A with Elfman for a retrospective of his 25 years of collaborating with Burton and the composer revealed that he would be composing the score for Oz: The Great and Powerful… Elfman’s re-collaboration with Raimi again comes as a bit of a surprise as the composer and filmmaker famously butted heads on Spider-Man 2.”

ParticipantWow 27 tracks and Intrada is the label releasing it. I can’t wait to hear this score.

ParticipantF**kin awesome. Can’t wait for this. Not quite ready for it to be a reality. Hope the intrada release is a sign of this not being marketed to the lowest common denominator (I haven’t heard anything about a “music inspired by” album like the last two Burton/Disney films). Is anyone a fan of Return to Oz and/or David Shire’s score? One of my favourites.

ParticipantIf you go through this to get at a new trailer. http://www.findyourwaytooz.com/ You can just click on the balloon to get right to the trailer.
After the trailer they play a loop from Elfman’s score. It’s a lovely, quiet piece, that sounds kinda like the quieter stuff from Shore’s LOTR.

ParticipantVery nice. Hopefully indicative of what the rest of the score is like. If it is part of the score.

ParticipantHaving it released by Intrada is great. Maybe that means there will some liner notes, for once?

ParticipantThe second russian link doesn’t sound like Elfman at all. More like a Media-Ventures style videogame music in my opinion.
