ParticipantLooks fantastic. Less than 2 months until we can get our much-needed Danny fix!

ParticipantI am once again excited to see this movie . . . everyone I’ve talked to who worked on it said they thought it was “a disappointment” but it looks like I’ll disagree. I think now that I’ve gotten past the Michael Jackson-Kate Winslet hybrid Willy Wonka, and some of the differences in the Oompa Loompas etc. it looks pretty cool now.

ParticipantNo beans to spill, really . . . nothing earth-shattering or exciting unless you care about minute details (although it sounds like there will be some cute sight-gags in the movie).

I agree.
I hope that line doesn’t get lost in the ADR. I almost wish that one was saved until the movie was released.

Participant“…Nevermind how the children die or anything…!!!”
Can’t wait to see how Burton interprets this one!!!

ParticipantI don’t know if anyone noticed this, but at the bottom of the official site pages, there’s a soundtrack note :
“Soundtrack by Danny Elfman
Features ‘Wonka’s Welcome Song’ and four original Oompa-Loompa songs”So now, we know how many songs there are…

ParticipantI read a review of the movie that said the worst part of it was the music . . . :-p

ParticipantThat same review I think mentioned how they also thought the worst part of “The Nightmare Before Christmas” was the songs as well.

ParticipantSNOW!!! There is snow in the movie! And you know what that means!
TIM BURTON + SNOW + DANNY ELFMAN = Some of Danny’s best work not to mention Tim’s!
Arguably their best work had snow in it! Batman Returns, Edward Scissorhands, and Nightmare Before Christmas! I CANNOT WAIT ANY LONGER!June 12, 2005 at 11:40 am #54192*Rachael*
ParticipantOh yeah, you’re right!! It’s like the pin stripes. There are always people wearing pin stripe stuits in Tim Burton’s films…..I think I’ve been watching them too much.
I’m so excited about this film – I’m pleased to see (hear?!) there’s a big Brass Moment towards the end of that trailer. Woo!!July 8, 2005 at 4:31 am #54394Leccathu
ParticipantBeautiful. Just beautiful. I still am having a hard time getting used to Depp’s voice (it’s just so…. funky! That isn’t a bad thing, though, certainly
). ^^ And the goal of making the kids unappealing has most certainly been acheived here…. *winces* Eech.
I absolutely love the shot of Depp with that pair of scissors in front of his factory… Having a little trip down memory lane, Burton? *grins and chuckles*
Beautiful.
I can’t wait to see this! *dances*
