ParticipantThat was really poorly written.

ParticipantFunny how he kept watching his watch during the Sundance Q&A and I thought that it wasn’t very polite as busy as he is. And then, when they were about to wrap it up, he looked one more time and said “we can have one more question if it’s possible”.
I’ll never doubt of you again Danny, I promise !
DannyBiker
ParticipantTrue for Oingo Boingo, I have mp3s from the early P2P days that I am pretty sure would be impossible to find today.
DannyBiker
ParticipantI don’t understand. Will that Elfman replace the current Elfman ?

ParticipantI can’t get over “The Tunnel Fight – Full Length” at 9:15. I’ve been obsessed with those five seconds, which…don’t seem to appear in the film !
DannyBiker
ParticipantOh dear God, you too Thor ? Can’t we just find the cure already !
DannyBiker
ParticipantDoes the soundtrack contain additional music from other composers ?
Happy holidays !
DannyBiker
ParticipantThis has got to be the Greatest Hits of his interviews.
DannyBiker
ParticipantYep, seems so. Any more info on this ?

ParticipantIt’s pretty much a Hellboy II situation : weak themes (or at least, not strongly recognizable ones), fantastic score. And in the comicbook genre, that’s a DOA case even among the film music fans because everybody wants a great theme to hum along.
But the way he works around his themes and writes the action cues is pretty darn impressive. It’s a really exhausting score to listen to as there is a lot going on, all the time.
As for the haters…mark my word, the Zimmer/JunkieXL scores will age terribly.
DannyBiker
ParticipantAs I said earlier on FSM, the only thing louder and more vulgar than Zimmer/JXL’s music is their fans…

ParticipantDanny Elfman AMA on /r/movies: Tuesday, November 21 at 12 PM PST from movies
So, what funny things could that piece of paper say…
DannyBiker
ParticipantIf you are looking middle names, “The Elf” seems a pretty obvious choice.
Congrats !
DannyBiker
ParticipantIt seems to be related to flash payer…
DannyBiker
ParticipantHappens to me as well.
DannyBiker
ParticipantWhich one is it ? I gave it two/three listens but I didn’t take the time to associate the motifs with their character.

ParticipantAnd Justice League United : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KYHO2cHTBg
There’s a part of the theme that is really reminiscent of Silvestri’s Avengers Theme. Comics fans will get mad for this…DannyBiker
ParticipantNew track, listen while it lasts : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WH5nSA5YE4
That’s a bit more engaging…
DannyBiker
ParticipantIt’s already gone.. 🙁
Edit : available here , https://www.flickeringmyth.com/2017/11/five-new-justice-league-clips-arrive-online-danny-elfmans-batman-theme-featured/FYI, Elfman’s AMA on reddit.com/r/movies will happen on the 20th.
DannyBiker
ParticipantI guess that the track is just a suite that won’t actually be used in the film or perhaps during the end credits. My main grip is that it lacks ambition in its structure, especially when you know what Elfman is capable of for the genre and in general. Sure, as I listened to it a few more times, it starts to unveils its qualities and merits but it is still not a very engaging experience.
If there’s a composer who likes to explore a theme in many variations during suites and titles sequences, it’s certainly Danny Elfman. But in Hero’s Theme, you get the picture after the first minute and it doesn’t evolve too much from there.
DannyBiker
ParticipantAlso, the “27 tracks” soundtrack is coming out on November 10th actually : http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=123683&forumID=1&archive=0
DannyBiker
ParticipantBTW, Elfman will be doing an AMA on reddit during or right after the release week-end. Prepare questions that will be ignored !
DannyBiker
Participant>> DCEU fans are mad…
Oh man, DCEU fans theorising about these movies like they’re Barry Lindon or Once upon a time in the West will always crack me up…
DannyBiker
ParticipantThe editing of the officially released track is terrible as well.
Also, the first phrase of the Hero theme is reminiscent of Giacchino’s theme for the Vulture from the latest Spider-Man movie…
