Yea, it’s been 15 days. We should hear SOMETHING soon. Even if it’s just a few seconds in the website.
April 27, 2009 at 10:17 pm #64010Descent Into MysteryParticipantAny updates? I’ve seen a couple of new TV spots that feature a new version of the Terminator theme. I wonder if its Elfman.

May 6, 2009 at 11:16 pm #64064Ryan KeaveneyKeymasterPress release and tracklist…
Reprise Records will release the original soundtrack to the hotly anticipated feature film Terminator Salvation on May 19 – two days before the film–the fourth installment in the Terminator film franchise–hits theaters nationwide.
Terminator Salvation – Original Soundtrack features an original score by one of Hollywood’s leading film composers, Danny Elfman, a four-time Oscar nominee and Grammy and Emmy Award winner. Elfman has composed the score for more than 60 motion pictures.
Capturing what the film’s director McG calls “the delicate nature of humanity and the unrelenting brutality of the machines,” Elfman’s synthesizer/orchestral score for Terminator Salvation elevates and expands the sweeping soundscape of one of the most successful film franchises in history. The first three Terminator films grossed more than one billon dollars worldwide.
The soundtrack also includes “Rooster” – a classic song by Seattle hard-rock band Alice in Chains, written by the band’s guitarist Jerry Cantrell for his father, who served in the military during the Vietnam War.

May 12, 2009 at 9:07 am #64113Spider-FanParticipantThe movie’s official website has a music loop that sounds distinctly Elfman-esque…
May 12, 2009 at 1:16 pm #64116Ryan KeaveneyKeymasterElfman wrote just over 140 mins of music for the film.
I’m getting my third (or fourth? fifth?) listen of the OST now. More impressions soon… And sound clips!
May 12, 2009 at 2:09 pm #64119Descent Into MysteryParticipantYay!
May 13, 2009 at 7:44 am #64125DannyBikerParticipantFinally, samples…
May 13, 2009 at 9:34 am #64128Descent Into MysteryParticipantSounds like a mixture of old school and new school Elfman. It could be interesting. Hopefully Ryan’s samples are a little longer.
May 13, 2009 at 11:29 am #64129boingomusicParticipantWow, it really sounds fantastic. I never thought it would be so thematic! I know these are very short samples, but I can already identify TWO very distinct themes, which is amazing.
It’s like a mixture of the percussive and electronic Planet of the Apes, with the melodic sensitivity of a Nightbreed, or a Hellboy 2.
Can’t wait to hear the whole thing !
May 13, 2009 at 2:54 pm #64130Descent Into MysteryParticipantIt’s like Planet of the Apes meets Batman with a little Kingdom thrown in.
May 13, 2009 at 6:17 pm #64133Ryan KeaveneyKeymasterI’d hoped to have them up today, but it’ll be tonight! Stay tuned. My clips are all 1 min give or take.
May 13, 2009 at 11:01 pm #64139elfboy91ParticipantDude! That is so awesome! I can’t wait… I liked “Serena” for some reason…. I can just picture Helena Bonham Carter being evil.. she’s good at being evil… I hope the movie is good!! I wish the CD was out now!
