I agree with spider-fan that Debney would be better than young. I mean, I really like both young and Debney but Debney would be my personaly choice. As for Alan Silvestri, he really doesn’t have the capability of satisfying fans of the spiderman music because of his style of composing. What about John Ottman doing Spiderman 3? His style of composing is very similar to Danny Elfman’s as an afterproduct. I mean there was a rumor that Danny Elfman and John Ottman were enemies but personally I think Ottman can sustain the momentum and intensity that Elfman put into his music. I say that if I had to pick one person for spiderman 3 it would be Ottman, Debney, and then Young. Ottman has the potential to make great superhero music as he has for many different other superhero movies. His X-men themes show that he is able to create great themes and mix them greatly very well but obviously not as great as Danny Elfman. Danny Elfman always makes great villian themes and Ottman for sure isn’t as good as Danny there. Post here your comments about Ottman if he were to compose Spiderman 3.
I personally want Danny Elfman to stay and do Spiderman 3 but in case he does decide to not compose the third which he probably will, I don’t mind James L. Venable doing it. It seems to me that he would do a fine job and be able to continue the spidey music the way it has been started. I think that as long as James Venable is able to compose for the next probably four spiderman movies the consistancy will remain the same and the music has the potential of being brilliant.

I have started to want to compose and really get serious about learning because of your first spiderman score. I would have never gotten into the music at all if it weren’t for you. Spiderman 1 was just so great that I have listened to it over 200 times over the coarse of 4 yrs. Hopefully you and Raimi will be able to figure something out as u are the one that makes spiderman brillant and unique. I really admire you and your music greatly but turning down spiderman 3 would be a huge mistake since it has really lately defined you and your image. Without your wonderful music in the third movie it will be quite different and a lot worse. It is up to you to likely finish this series correctly but I know that you should just compose again. hopefully you can,

What I meant by saying do you have a site to back up this information was that do you have a page that has an article or interview that confirms that Danny Elfman is for sure not doing Spiderman 3. I sure hope that he still does a third movie because although he wasn’t treated well he should still do it for his fans and for the movie series. I hope that things between him and Sam will eventually be worked out an in 2.5 years he would be able to score it. I may not be understanding but are you for sure confirming that Danny Elfman is not scoring Spiderman 3? I thank you for putting so much time into replying and making this discussion board meaningful. Thanks, SeanWhere exactly did you get this information, Ryan, because I really doubt that Sam would be willing to get rid of Danny without trying to get him to join again. Sam Raimi would do all that he could to insure that Danny doesn’t leave. Saying that you don’t speak untrue rumors doesn’t mean it is truth unless you have a website or facts to back it up. I am not saying for sure you are wrong but I just personally need some facts to just feel like I know the truth.
