ParticipantAt the Ubeda Film Music Conference, Michael Giacchino was asked about UP being a digital-only release, and this is what Michael had to say (albeit paraphrased): “Disney has gone that road and I had the dubious honor of being the first one.”
You better be really descriptive, Ryan!

KeymasterThe trailer says soundtrack on Walt Disney Records. We’ll have to wait until 3/10 to find out what that means!

ParticipantWow, Disney is gonna revert back to records now…they really are screwed in the head.

ParticipantI had my doubts before, but this looks like a stunning movie. I also love how trailers for Tim Burton films always manage to have some Elfman music in them

KeymasterIf that is Elfman then it’s from demos because I don’t believe they’ve recorded yet. Then again it might be library music…
December 31, 2009 at 7:46 am #64862Descent Into Mystery
ParticipantIf it’s library music then they found something very Elfman-esque.
December 31, 2009 at 9:44 am #64863DannyBiker
ParticipantIt does sound like Elfman. A lot…I’m pretty sure it’s a demo.
January 1, 2010 at 2:55 am #64865D-Bo
ParticipantWow, seriously? It sounds to me like somebody else doing Elfman, maybe some library music. I expect much better than that from the man himself.

KeymasterWhy won’t you go away!?!?
Pete Wentz:
“We did a song for Alice in Wonderland. [We] might do a few more depending on when [Mark] goes in with Blink. [It] sounds nothing like Blink or Fall Out Boy. Mark understands songwriting on a completely different level. It’s awesome to have a chance to sit in a room with him and watch him work out a melody.”
“A spokesperson for Walt Disney Records — who will be releasing the soundtrack — told MTV News that at the moment, no track list has been confirmed but an announcement will be made “in the coming weeks.”

KeymasterIt’s getting worse.
“Avril Lavigne is going down the rabbit hole. The singer has officially landed a track called “Alice Underground” on the soundtrack of Tim Burton’s upcoming re-imagination of “Alice in Wonderland,” according to Variety. “
