Produced by Elfman.
ddddeeeeParticipantddddeeeeParticipantIn an interview with Gramophone, Elfman said he has recently finished scoring this.
ddddeeeeParticipantBurton is directing an unspecified number of episodes, including the season opener.
ddddeeeeParticipantElfman plans to release a new rock album late this year or early next. He also ‘will be doing shows In October in Los Angeles to support the new film Beetlejuice that will be released in September of 2024’.
Not sure what the latter means. Beetlejuice live-to-film?
ddddeeeeParticipantBurton is in Dublin to start filming season 2.
ddddeeeeParticipant‘Ohnaka Go Boom!’ is such a devastating cue.
ddddeeeeParticipantThis is just great stuff. It really holds up as a complete listening experience. Something interesting is always going on. I’m especially loving all the percussion dancing around my earphones and all of these bizarre noises that Elfman creates – it’s sometimes hard to tell what’s some odd percussion and what’s choir. Just fascinating stuff that’s simultaneously Elfman to its core yet something entirely unique in his discography.
An absolute must have.
ddddeeeeParticipantARE YOU LOST?
My first concerto was written for violinist Sandy Cameron. She had been besieging me for ages to write a duet for violin and voice. I finally relented on the condition that we add a piano and make it a trio. While talking about the project with two composer friends we all decided to write for the same trio for a collaborative project which will be called, appropriately, “Trio”. When I began discussing the possibility of recording the concerto and Wunderkammer with Sony Classical they suggested that I include something that had never been performed. It was then I decided to take one of the 4 moments I’d written for “Trio” and to both expand and adapt it for choir and full orchestra. Thus, the origins of “Are You Lost?”

ddddeeeeParticipantWe're excited to unveil @dannyelfman's new album — "Percussion Concerto & Wunderkammer."
Recorded with percussionist Colin Currie, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, and JoAnn Falletta, the first single is out now!

ddddeeeeParticipantThe website has the credits up for the film. Soundtrack will be released by Watertower Music.
ddddeeeeParticipantI’m missing CDs for Wisdom and Midnight Run.
ddddeeeeParticipantCD!
ddddeeeeParticipantComing May 17th.
ddddeeeeParticipantThe opening movement of Elfman’s percussion concerto was uploaded to Youtube 9 hours ago, but it’s not available yet. This is presumably following the release pattern for his violin concerto which uploaded the third movement as a ‘promo’ track of sorts.
Sony Classical will be releasing the album, which also features Wunderkammer.
ddddeeeeParticipantNow this is a release.

ddddeeeeParticipantNext week!
ddddeeeeParticipantReceived the CDs today and rewatched the movie this weekend.
I really do love this score. I’m not sure this release is really essential as the original album did a great job representing it. But when the music is this good, I’m happy to have every note. I really like the expanded ‘Where Fairies Dwell’ and a lot of the smaller cues do clarify the themes.
The movie is brilliant, too. Probably the last really good fantasy movie Elfman’s scored.
ddddeeeeParticipantddddeeeeParticipantColin Currie posted last week that Elfman ‘took a break from scoring Beetlejuice 2’ to join him for a performance of his concerto. He started writing the score in October, so he’s been on it for quite some time.
Trailer is out this coming week.
ddddeeeeParticipantThe maestro Guillermo Del Toro @RealGDT showing off the brand-new CD Club Deluxe Edition of @dannyelfman's score for Hellboy II: The Golden Army!

ddddeeeeParticipantIt’s a bit hard to navigate because lots of random people have been added, but the IMDB credits now list lots of Elfman’s team, which is usually an indication that the recording is soon.
ddddeeeeParticipantElfman and Del Toro were interviewed for the liner notes. Del Toro has also been promoting the release on Twitter. Shame nothing more came from this collaboration. Though I think the score is mixed terribly in the film.
ddddeeeeParticipantTracklist and samples.
ddddeeeeParticipantThe percussion concerto was recorded in August.
The violin concerto was released the week after Dumbo. The percussion quartet was released the week after Doctor Strange 2. I think they plan these so that Elfman can do promo for both/capitialise on the hype from a big score release.
Maybe it’ll be released around Beetlejuice 2?
