ParticipantAh, I couldn’t make any of that out. I got a bit overexcited by ‘We have a composer.’

ParticipantHere’s the interview.

Sounds like he’s scoring the whole thing? Milk reunion.

ParticipantI think it was Shie Rozow who mentioned that they were putting together an album when this had finished recording. Fingers crossed for a CD.

ParticipantThe movie has been released in some foreign markets (reception seems mixed) but it still doesn’t have a US release date. Relativity has come out of bankruptcy so I imagine it’ll get another release date soon.
At least we know when it does get released Varese are releasing the score.

ParticipantHarvey didn’t want to licence any music for the trailer because he’s giving the movie the dump of all dumps. Limited release in two and a half months time.
Looks like a movie Desplat would score.

Sounds like the music could be from Elfman.

ParticipantMan I’m thrilled about this. I really love the first score.
Also, the director is also directing the third movie (they’re being shot back-to-back) so this is probably going to be Elfman’s second trilogy.

ParticipantSequel coming with the same director. Given how much they raved about Elfman during the press tour he’ll be asked back for sure.

ParticipantAwesome news!
I’m nearly finished the book, was expecting a fully electronic score.

ParticipantI think Elfman’s already on it. His frequent music editor and his regular score mixer are working on it and he scored Ponsoldt’s last movie.
I think The End of the Tour is an incredible movie and hope the collaboration continues.

ParticipantDid they stop working together because she was getting all the credit or because she found herself a lot more busy?

ParticipantIt might be sacrilege but there are many times I find myself preferring her Batman theme even to Elfman’s. There’s a sadness and gravity to it I find myself really drawn to.

ParticipantHalli Cauthery contributed to ‘Doorway’ from Hellboy II.

Peter Bateman claims to have written additional music for Fifty Shades of Grey although he is credited for ‘Additional Arrangements’ in the album. Same with Epic.

There’s an American Hustle cue by David Buckley here. I don’t remember it in the movie though.

ParticipantLots of people have mentioned hearing Elfman in this score and I don’t hear it at all.

ParticipantThere’s no new ground for Burton here but there is something kind of fresh about it? I dunno.
I’m a fan of the book and this looks like a surprisingly faithful adaption.
ddddeeee
ParticipantLooks like this is Burton’s next movie after all.

ParticipantBurton’s rep has said that Burton never confirmed Beetlejuice 2 as it’s ‘not in development’ and he’s working on developing Dumbo…

ParticipantI think they’re behind – the movie has been delayed again and currently has no release date.
ddddeeee
ParticipantEllen Segal, the music editor on countless movies that Elfman has scored, is working on ‘The Circle’ by James Ponsoldt (The End of the Tour). A sign that he’s involved?
ddddeeee
ParticipantYeah I think it took this for it to really hit me. Looks stunning, I hope Burton sticks with Delbonnel a bit more. With good source material, a fresh cast and a Jane Goldman script I really think this will be a winner – shame Elfman won’t be along for the ride.
ddddeeee
ParticipantYeah I can’t see the images either, he did accurately describe the score long before a note was available though. Granted, it was scored exactly as one would expect. He’s been saying some pretty damning things about Beltrami and additional composers too.

ParticipantA guy who was at the recording sessions for Goosebumps said that Chris Bacon was at the sessions and wrote around half of the score…
