I have never heard of either site. But, there is a ton of info on Tim Burton and Danny Elfman out there that, put them all together and you get a great director and composer. So i would think there would be enough info to make a webpage about them.
Fox chumParticipantoh…never mind then….hehe.
Fox chumParticipantSep. 23 on what channel??? or is it one of those shows that will be on what feels like every channel???
Fox chumParticipantAgain, it sounds like a good soundtrack….weird….but good.
Fox chumParticipantIsn’t the world all technology now a days?
Fox chumParticipantI think it was just to shut him up, Danny Burton. Would he really be like that????? i am not sure
Fox chumParticipantCould this actually be true or could it be one crazy fan????? If it is true (which i really dont think it is) then i would join for that reason and that reason only!
Fox chumParticipantI would have never thought that the vocals for Wonka’s theme song would be done by Danny Elfman. I mean, that seems high of a pitch for a guy to reach, doesn’t it????
Fox chumParticipantExplain what your meaning. Like ruin the ending of the film or make it better than it seems? I still think it looks good. Even though it seems to be for money (y do the movie again so it can be correct???) I still think it looks perfect.
Fox chumParticipantIt seems like a good movie to me, but most of my friends think it will be weird and I don’t think it will do well with reviewers but….WHO CARES?????!!!! I have never listened to reviewers anyway! And the score sounds really really REALLY amazing…well, for my weird self, anyway.
Fox chumParticipantIt is most likely not true. My older brothers used to do this kind of stuff all the time…tell people that they were stars and people would belive them, just for laughs. And I thought Tim Burton was older than 46….and your right Dawg man, he would be too busy to have a webpage.
June 23, 2005 at 9:23 pm in reply to: IGN Article: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Meets Danny Elfman #54277Fox chumParticipantthat sounds interesting…..I can’t wait for the cd. Thanks for the link!
Fox chumParticipantIt’s ok. I didn’t know about this info until I looked at the elfman zone page and was surprised (being so young, I only have seen few Tim Burton movies, even though my famliy had a Tim Burton fest, there are only few movies at a small video store). But, anyway, you would like me to stay??? Now, I dont feel so weird anymore.
Fox chumParticipantI disagree with you, ooshmaster. I think Danny Elfman is better.
Fox chumParticipantum….well, I dont know you people and I dont know what you know about Danny Elfman and Tim Burton and such. And, anyways, I was just being kind to the people who do not know. I should just stick with the Elfman zone board…
Fox chumParticipantTHAT’S NOT NICE!!!! YOU DONT KNOW ME!!!!!!! I KNOW MY GRAMMER AND SPELLING SUCKS,BUT YOU DONT HAVE TO POINT IT OUT TO MY FACE!!!!!! anyway, i was trying to plan stuff out with my freind at the same time.
Fox chumParticipantit should be a national holiday….all the school’s in the country off for the day…all the work places off…that would be sweet…
Fox chumParticipanti already know y and, being the nice girl i am, i will tell u (the people who do not know this) what happened:
While working on the NmBC, Danny Elfman was mad about something (could it be that the director was not Tim Burton?????) and so there was a huge fight Between Tim Burton and Danny Elfman, so bad that Tim Burton picked someone other than Danny Elfman (who was expecting to compose it) to score Ed Wood, so the two were apart for a while until Tim Burton was about to score Mars Attacks and had signed Howard Shore to score it, but Tim Burton Let Danny Elfman compose it. But no one is for positive on why this all happened except for….Danny Elfman. Even Tim Burton wasn’t even sure. “I think he was mad at me from Nightmare. Nightmare was hard because between Danny, Henry [Selick, director] and Caroline [Thompson, screenplay] we were like a bunch of kids, fighting. That’s what I felt like anyway, and I think it was just one of those times when, like in any relationship, we just needed a break, and it was probably good for all of us.” (Burton on Burton, 2000)
Fox chumParticipantwho are they???? never heard of them.
Fox chumParticipantwell, i have a LOT of fav. scores! here is what i like in movie scores:
1.NmBC (Nightmare Before Christmas)
2.Edward Scissorhands
3.Big Fish
4.Spider-man 1
5.Batman
6.Lilo and stitch (sorry about my spelling!)
I also like most of the scores found on Music For A Darkened Theatre (except Dick Tracy)Fox chumParticipantI know, but still…it’s AMAZING!!!!!!!! I saw an interview with the composer of Batman Begins and talked a bit about Mr.Elfman, but I can’t remember the site name!!!! There is a link to it when you go on http://www.bluntinstrument.org.uk/elfman/ and to the message board and to the comversation started as “Batman Begins Thread”, someone posted “this is really interesting” click on it and there will be a link to the site I was talking about.
Fox chumParticipantActually, I didn’t pay attention to the score at all!!!! I can’t remember any of it!!!!
Fox chumParticipantDo you think it would do well??????? I mean, if it does go into a movie, that would be a BIG streach from 30 min. to 1 1/2-2 hours…..that would be cool if Mr.Elfman would compose it though…..
Fox chumParticipantI don’t know what in the world you are talking about, but that is against copyright laws (not to mention, not being orriganal!!!). So, why hasn’t anything come up about this that people in the U.S would find out?????
Fox chumParticipantYou can get the CD at Borders or a bookstore like that, music store and amazon.com, but it is not comming out till July 12, so just wait on buying it.
