Keymaster“The set, which includes art from Burton, will also have 14 CDs, a DVD and a book with interviews and a conversation between the two men. Look for it in stores just before Christmas this year.”

KeymasterThat is indeed Jeff Bond, who is working on the project. And there will be gems in the boxed set, Thor

KeymasterJust before Christmas.

KeymasterAnd here’s the big news…

KeymasterI still don’t get it. Goldsmith uses a different orchestral palette, enhanced with exotic percussion, electronic effects, the sliding brass (whale-like) motif, that all set it apart from Elfman’s BATMAN.

KeymasterKind of shocked there hasn’t been more reaction to this!

KeymasterLooks like it was posted by a WBR intern. Haha.

KeymasterThe Warner Bros. announcement is seperate from the La-La Land BATMAN announcement, though both are going to be at Comicon!

KeymasterNeither do I, boingomusic, neither do I!

KeymasterI love THE SHADOW, and it’s score by Jerry Goldsmith.

KeymasterNo link with Warner Bros. Records, that is. Or Tim Burton. This is Elfman, Burton and Warner Bros. Just think about it.
Ryan Keaveney
KeymasterThink bigger!
Ryan Keaveney
KeymasterIt ain’t about BATMAN (yes, that is coming too)

Ryan Keaveney
KeymasterIt ain’t MFADT III, but it’s a pretty cool thing nonetheless…

Ryan Keaveney
KeymasterMen In Black II?

Ryan Keaveney
KeymasterWho’s sequel? Hello, BATMAN RETURNS?

Ryan Keaveney
KeymasterHasn’t Tim made one studio picture after another? If anything you’ve seen the dilution of Burton’s brand with movies that rip off his style, like LEMONY SNICKET for example. I think if you’re Tim Burton you have no responsibility to anyone beyond Tim Burton. And to call ALICE IN WONDERLAND “Disney-fied”, have you see RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN, G-FORCE, BEVERLY HILLS CHIHUAHUA, et al? THOSE are “Disney-fied” movies, none of which bear any resemblence to ALICE IN WONDERLAND or the work of Tim Burton.

KeymasterHmn, this could be good:

KeymasterHaha, what was I writing there? WUT.

KeymasterWord from the production, which was here in Toronto, is that this is a disaster.
Ryan Keaveney
KeymasterFlubber was a carrot that was mostly stick. HEARTBREAKERS was I believe for a friend, David Dobkin, SPY KIDS was at the behest of Robert Rodriguez and HOT TO TROT was still pre-BATMAN.
