It’s funny. The only reason MIB 3 is getting made is because Sony needs a tentpole for 2011 after having moved Spidey to 2012.
Cinemax is going to premiere the movie tonight at 10pm. So, if you haven’t, this is your chance to watch a movie with an Elfman score you can barely hear. If you get frustrated there’s always this:
If so, it will be the first time Elfman completes a trilogy on “his own”.

It doesn’t really matter. Danny has scored crappy movies before. Atleast it’ll be a high-profile gig and not one where he’ll have to compete with the sound effects.

I heard mostly temp tracks from “28 Days Later,” “Sunshine,” and of course, Ennio Morricone’s score to “For a Few Dollars More.” The rest was just songs like Joan Jett’s “Bad Reputation.” The movie lists four composers but the score doesn’t show that.
Very strange. They don’t usually rename cues when they are temped in from other films and actually make the final cut. I’m seeing KA tonight so I’ll know for sure.
Yeah, I’m most likely incorrect. Plus, if it had been temp music I would have noticed.

Damn it. I knew I should have checked this thread before watching the movie. I remember that scene, but not the music. I would have payed closer attention if I knew that was the scene with Elfman music. Although I gotta say that the movie had a lot of temp music, so I don’t think Elfman composed anything specific for this film. They probably just lifted it from another movie.
So, if its original music then why isn’t it on the damn soundtrack? Even his one track on “Nacho Libre” made it to the soundtrack.
