KeymasterWow – mine just departed Phoenix today!

KeymasterWow – the concert sounds great. The fact that it will be recorded is even better. It means I won’t have to travel to Vienna to see it! đ

KeymasterLink to Amazon.ca for anyone in North America who wants to grab a pressed disc:
Tulip Fever (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)
The exchange rate to US dollars means the disc retails for $12.70. Shipping is just over $6 US. It’s a bit more than what you’d pay if you ordered off Amazon.com, but at least this way you have an actual legit CD.

KeymasterM:I is a certainty.

KeymasterAmazon.ca Sony releases are pressed discs.
I’ve been listening to TULIP FEVER on Spotify and it’s pretty great â while it’s very close to SLEEPY HOLLOW, “Happy Family” is knockout.

KeymasterGreat write up. Still waiting for Amazon.ca to ship my CD. I listened to the album last night on Spotify. Going to save my thoughts until I can sit down and listen intently.

KeymasterShipped today. Should be in here in about 6 weeks… đ

KeymasterThanks for the heads up. Just ordered my copy. $35 Canadian w/ shipping. Ouch. That’s more than $2 per minute of Elfman music!

KeymasterHey Thor, that’s what the “Freshness” column is for on the message list page. It will indicate time and date of last post. Clicking that will bring you to the last post in each thread.

KeymasterThanks, guys! Phase 1 was getting the board setup. Phase 2 is the rest of the site. That’s been underway for some time, hopefully it’ll all get pulled together shortly.
It lives still!

KeymasterLooks like the jury for the film contest has been announced:
Always dreamed of having your short film scored by Grammy- and Emmy-winning â and four-time Oscar nominee â Danny Elfman? Now’s your chance.
Elfman introduced the Rabbit and Rogue Project in June 2016 as an opportunity for up-and-coming filmmakers to use selections from his “Rabbit and Rogue” album as inspiration and a soundtrack for their short films.
The competition, produced in partnership with the LA Film Festival and Indi.com, allows filmmakers to use selections from Elfmanâs âRabbit and Rogueâ and compete for the opportunity to premiere their film at the 2017 LA Film Festival.
The festival announced Thursday the first five judges for the project: Paul Haggis (“Crash”), McG (“Charlieâs Angels”), Rob Minkoff (“The Lion King”), Sam Taylor-Johnson (“50 Shades of Grey”) and Gus Van Sant (“Good Will Hunting”).
The competition will award six winners, one for each of Elfman’s compositions, and the deadline for filmmakers to apply is April 15.
The LA Film Festival is June 14-22.

KeymasterI have the CD somewhere around here. Since I am reconfiguring my office, my CDs are in 12 very precarious stacks in the corner of the room.

KeymasterImpressive! Do you have the La-La Land BATMAN set? With the better artwork and corrected sound? You’ll need the EDWARD LP reissue to round out your record collection â something I’d like to do as well. I don’t think DARKMAN was issued in North America on LP, at least not according to Discogs.

KeymasterThis is why I’ve had THE HAUNTED MANSION in my cart at SAE. Had to wait for this

KeymasterGee was I not counting SCREAM 4?

Ryan Keaveney
KeymasterThis is great news. I’ve had the “Cassandra Aria” on CD for about 20 (?) years… It was on a pay-per-view tie-in compilation produced by Ford Thaxton. He kindly sent me a copy back then. It didn’t have the reprise cue, however. SCREAM 2 is probably the best of the three scores, so this will be a must buy.

KeymasterWell I think that just about confirms it.

KeymasterIsn’t the film on Blu-ray in Europe/UK?

KeymasterI don’t think there’s any one cue attributed to Elfman in the score.
Ryan Keaveney
KeymasterOfficially makes this my favorite score ever. LOL
