I really think that the Big Eyes addition was mentioned once online but I’ve never read any proof/report that it actually happened.
Yeah I got pretty bad feedbacks from the orchestra as well. Curious to see which orchestra will be playing in Brussels in a month.
I’m still wondering if I’ll try to wait for him after the show. VIP experience doesn’t mention any “Meet & Greet”, so I hope he will be “accessible” after the show somehow.

I remember reading something similar about Edward. Some of these are surprising but most of them seem accurate, although they are only rumours sometimes. I think Elfman was the only composer ever attached with TNBC though…

Pretty good interview and my question was in there. Nothing new under the sun for the elfmaniac but it was quite nice to have decent questions asked and enough time for Danny to answer them without being interrupted.
Too bad I missed Howard Shore.
Yeah, I’m kinda disappointed that you even can’t play with the 1989/1992’s costumes. You can play with all kind of costumes except these…
Oh boy, they are shooting some scenes in Belgium. With Elfman coming in Brussels in November, I got one demand : bring the Burton Exhibition already !

Yeah I always was a huge fan of the scores. From 2002 to 2008, I listened to them a lot, especially after the complete scores popped up on the internet. I actually listened to them recently and wondered before to do so if, perhaps, I over-praised them in the past. Maybe they didn’t aged that well or weren’t that good. Well, I was pleasantly surprised : they are still very strong efforts and the SM1 Main Titles is still up there, with its greatest title sequences ever.
With the recent scores of Horner and Zimmer for the newer films, I was also astonished to read about how much people love Elfman’s scores. They always complain that the new SM films lack an “iconic theme like Elfman’s”. It’s quite crazy because at the time, a lot of people on boards complained about the lack of themes in Elfman’s scores. I remember spending a lot of time trying to explain to people how much themes they were actually in there (quite a lot, even for Elfman’s standard). So much time to waste back then !
