ParticipantPremiered last night. Early word is good but not glowing. Elfman’s getting a lot of notices in reviews, described as “playful” and “jaunty”.

ParticipantAn album is being released on the 27th of November according to Amazon.com

ParticipantThis is definitely my favourite Elfman score of the year so far. I’m addicted.

ParticipantScott Weinberg who slates Elfman at every opportunity on Twitter, praised his score.
There are around two minutes in this Behind-The-Scenes piece. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnO1IFgJiGc&feature=relmfu

ParticipantThe movie is getting raves and Elfman is getting his best mentions in years.

ParticipantA week from release and no samples, do you think the score is getting delayed?
ddddeeee
ParticipantEarly word is that the film is fantastic. I wonder if Elfman’s contribution is big enough to warrant oscar attention?
EDIT: From Variety.
“Danny Elfman’s music and the soundtrack supervised by Sue Jacobs (Stevie Wonder’s “My Cherie Amour” has a key plot function) compulsively thread in and out of the action, always serving to reflect Pat’s heightened mental/emotional states.”

ParticipantFrankenweenie was recorded in the beginning of June, Silver Linings Playbook has been finished for a while and according to a poster on this site he’s done with Promised Land too.

ParticipantWow! Thanks for the confirmation.

ParticipantThat would be great. Elfman sure likes to keep himself busy.
EDIT: I was just thinking, Elfman said he recorded Frankenweenie in London during the weekend of the Royal Jubilee, around the 5th of June or so. That was almost three months ago, what’s he been doing since? It’s surely too early for Oz or Epic so maybe his contributions to this (if he is doing it) and/or Silver Linings Playbook are more significant than we think.

ParticipantIt’s now set for release at the end of this year, I guess that means no Elfman.

ParticipantAmazon also lists a “Frankenweenie Unleashed” album for the same date, looks like an Alice In Wonderland situation.

ParticipantAmazing trailer.

ParticipantI agree, but I’ve always found them reliable for scoring assignments. Wikipedia was the first to remove Elfman for The Hunger Games.
